Ways to Keep Yourself Inspired, When Event Planning

How To Stay Inspired, and Not Stressed, When Event Planning

Event planning can be stressful, but also incredibly exciting. Maybe you’ve thought about getting family and friends together for a celebration, or are hoping to host a corporate meeting with clients. Whatever the case may be, there are ways to keep yourself inspired so that you aren’t overwhelmed along the way.

Create a mood brainstorming board.

Check out a local book shop near you that has magazines too, and buy a few that inspire you. Flip through and use clipping to create a mood brainstorming board. This will help you keep your theme and colors in mind as you choose a venue and decorate.

You don’t have to start from scratch.

Is there a party or event you attended that was especially fun or well planned? You can take inspiration from these events about what to do, and what not to do for your own. Ask colleagues, friends, and family to give you some feedback on venues if you are uncertain and want help.

Try not to exceed your budget.

Before planning an event, it is imperative that you calculate your budget first. If you have a general idea of how much to spend, but not exactly, you may find yourself way over budget quickly. It’s ideal to have some wiggle room in case there is an extra expense you need to pay for.

Think about the ambiance and vibe.

Each event property or space will have a different vibe. Look for a space that has a theme or feel you want to create. If the space you choose already gives off a certain ambiance, then you’ll end up spending less money on decor and other elements.
